§ 42-31. Composition; rank.

(a)

The fire department shall consist of a chief and such subordinate officers and firefighters as may from time to time be provided by the city council.

(b)

Following the fire chief in rank shall be the assistant chief, captains, lieutenants, sergeants and the firefighters.
