§ 98-49. Utility bill adjustment.

If a user experiences abnormally high water usage, due to a leak or other accidental causes, the city may adjust the excessive utility bill as follows:
(1)

Any adjustment will be at the discretion of the city manager or his/her designee, and only after verification of repair or correction of the problem, which verification shall be made by an authorized city employee. Customer should submit copies of repair material invoices and, when appropriate, invoices from a certified plumber detailing the repairs.

(2)

Upon such verification, the user will receive a credit for the sewer portion of the bill. These credits will only be issued one per 12-month period.
