§ 82-54. Recovery on bond.

Recovery on the bond required by section 82-53 for any injury or accident shall not exhaust the bond; it shall entirely cover any future accidents or injuries resulting from the excavation work for which it is given. If any suit or claim against the city is filed because of the negligence or default of the permittee, upon the city's giving written notice to the permittee of such suit or claim, any final judgment against the city must be paid by the surety.
